Perfect Girl

Her complexion was fair and smooth,
But that was because her face was never wrinkled by laughter.
She got the tie because she could always remain calm and composed
But that was because she was never excited by anything.
During worship, she was the only one singing
But that was because she was the only one who hadn't broken down in tears.
Her smile was like the shining sun
But it only made her seem as distant as the star was from the Earth.
This girl, she never screamed or cried for anything
But that was because she had everything.
She had everything she wanted all the time
But that was because she never shared or gave anything.
She got good grades because she spent all her time studying
But that was only because she didn't want to play with anyone.
Her voice was beautiful for singing
But that was because she never used it to cry with someone else.
She carried all her burdens with ease
But that was because she never lent a hand to carry someone else.
In the race, she was the champion
But that was because she didn't stop to help the person who fell down.

She is like pure, unblemished marble
Cold and hard.
