i'm typing with one hand now(:
hahaha. i still don't believe i could be so dumb
i slammed the car door on the middle finger on my (thank God) left hand. (: haha.. and amazingly, i've learnt quite a few things:
1. i'm not really very dumb beacause my form teacher and principal had the same problem earlier this year.
2. somehow, i guess it's break and heal
3. it takes an awesomely long time to type with one hand
4. people care! (:
5. it doesn't matter which finger hurts, the whole hand, what the heck, the whole arm will hurt along with it
6. if your nail turns black, chances are that it'll fall off
7. those pain relieving spray things don't actually work, but it doesn't hurt either
8. raise your injured hand when you bathe
9. your nail won't be half black for too long. after a day or two, your whole nail will turn black

and then there are other things i've learnt these past few days:
1. don't freaking get stuck on a book series 4 days before your exams
2. therefore, don't go to the library
3. i actually had my nail ripped off before, according to my super-memory brother. haha, and i forgot
4. therefore, if you could choose between having your nail ripped off and getting your finger slammed, go for the first one. the second one hurts more, plus, the nail will come off just the same, in an even grosser (?) way.
and lastly,
5. please don't put your finger where you're gonna slam the door. really

haha. this isn't even funny. it's erm, hmm. (which text type?)

Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin killed

He was killed today by a stingray barb to the heart while filming an underwater documentary on the Great Barrier Reef. He was 44.
He is widely acclaimed. Foreign Minister Alexander Downer, hailed Irwin for his work in promoting Australia through projects such as "G'Day LA," an Australian tourism and trade promotion week in Los Angeles in January. Irwin's dedication to conservationist causes led him to become a vocal critic of wildlife hunts in Australia. The federal government recently dropped plans to allow crocodile safaris for wealthy tourists in the Northern Territory following his vehement objections.
Irwin told the Australian television program "A Current Affair" that "killing one of our beautiful animals in the name of trophy hunting will have a very negative impact on tourism, which scares the living daylights out of me."
Although he received negative publicity in recent years, authorities were never really against him and he never was charged for going against safety regulations or any laws regarding these.
It's really tragic, stingrays are hardly aggresive animals.
"Injuries to the extremities from stingray barbs are not uncommon along the Australian seaboard. Cardiac injuries from stingray barbs are rare, even worldwide, and all but one have been fatal."
"Stingrays have flat bodies and tails with serrated spines, which contain venom and can cause cuts and puncture wounds. The creatures are not aggressive and injury usually occurs when a swimmer or diver accidentally steps on one."
Well, all said and done, it's not as if this is a huge shock. After all, he has been working with really dangerous creatures, and his favourite animal is the crocodile.
