This is Lydia's pretty star lollipop. It inspired me during the Synod camp.

Yow. It's my 300th post. This blog is old.
Look out for my
new one! Idk, I may rellocate.
Aight, I admit I didn't keep my promise to blog and now everyone can say I'm a really slack blogger. Whoops. It's been busy, yeah.
So what happened when I was gone? I can't really remember cos the last time I posted was like a really really long time ago. Ha. So shall post about my latest adventures.
My family and I went to Bintan, Angsanna. I'm not in one of those advertising thingies, but the place is really really beautiful. I miss the place already. Again, I promise the pics will be out one day,
but I don't see it on the com now, which
means I haven't transferred them from my cam to the
com yet. Oh well.
(I think blogger is annoying. It doesn't have this auto enter thing and each sentence can get really long. Argh.)
Okay. The thing about Bintan was that when I got back, I realised that Amanda, (who just came back from Caines) is in fact more tan that me! *chokes* *gasps* The days of tanning and all! Haha. Oh well, at least I know I have an even tan. PLUS, I'm not even peeling. Beat that.
Now my brother and my mum's literally shedding their skin like snakes. It's gross I tell you. I'm not gonna put pictures of the piles of skin my mummy peels, but I assure you, it's alot. It's like.. gross, okay.
Alright. So I was away in Bintan from the uhm.. 30th of Nov to the 4th of Dec. When I got back, I left almost immediately to see Christel off. She migrated to Australia. I'm glad I didn't miss her. Haven't written her the long letter I wanted to though. Blah. We're all gonna miss her so much ): It's like I have this unsettling feeling that something's not right, and that something's missing. 07IP04 is gonna be so different without her.
The 5th to the 8th was the SYNOD CAMP - PLUGIN. Wunnerful camp. I went for the camp not really expecting anything, but right now, I can safely say that it was one of the most enriching camps I've attended and I miss it already. I made new friends there (: Emerlyn, Johanna, Benedict, Jue Ying, Jing Ying, Brenda, Janel, Vanessa, Pamela, Rebecca, Trina, Serene. Most of them I recognise from the toilet (yeah, really, we sang
One way there together) but Emerlyn and
Benedict were my dance partners in ballroom dancing(:
It was, however, the sermons that really struck me. The pastor was from Australia and he really knew what we
(as teenagers) need. He taught us what it means to follow Jesus. It really gave me stuff
to think about and now I'm glad I'm taking
the confirmation class to truly nail down some of the basics
of Christian faith.

Don't let kids see "The Golden Compass"
PASS THIS ON AND LET'S HELP STOP THIS MOVIE DEAD IN ITS TRACKS!!!!
There will be a new children's movie out in December called "The Golden Compass". The movie has been described as atheism for kids" and is based on the first book of a trilogy entitled "His Dark Materials" that was written by Phillip Pullman. Pullman is a militant atheist and secular humanist who despises C. S. Lewis and the "Chronicles of Narnia". His motivation for writing this trilogy was specifically to counteract Lewis' symbolisms of Christ that are portrayed in the Narnia series.
Clearly, Pullman's main objective is to bash Christianity and promote atheism. Pullman left little doubt about his intentions when he said in a 2003 interview that "my books are about killing God." He has even stated that he wants to "kill God in the minds of children". It has been said of Pullman that he is "the writer the atheists would be praying for, if atheists prayed."
While "The Golden Compass" movie itself may seem mild and innocent, the books are a much different story. In the trilogy, a young streetwise girl becomes enmeshed in an epic struggle to ultimately defeat the oppressive forces of a senile God. Another character, an ex-nun, describes Christianity as "a very powerful and convincing mistake." In the final book, characters representing Adam and Eve eventually kill God, who at times is called YAHWEH. Each book in the trilogy gets progressively worse regarding Pullman's hatred of Jesus Christ.
"The Golden Compass" is set to premier on December 7, during the Christmas season (and staring Nicole Kidman), and will probably be heavily advertised. Promoters hope that unsuspecting parents will take their children to see the movie, that they will enjoy the movie, and that the children will want the books for Christmas.
Please consider a boycott of the movie and the books. Also, pass this information along to everyone you know (including church leaders). This will help to educate parents, so that they will know the agenda of the movie. I am sending this to those of you who have kids or friends with kids, grandkids or have influence with kids. So many things today are darkness concealed in what appears to be innocent.
Alrighty. I'm tired etc. Will (hopefully) post about the camp and bintan tmr.
